Peg's Bio

Peg Hansen founded Hansen Audit Services LLC in 2000, drawing on her expertise in collateral analysis and strong communication and interpersonal skills. She is a dedicated professional with over eighteen years of broad based experience in commercial banking, acquisition consulting, collateral auditing, and credit analysis. Her experience has encompassed businesses in variety of situations and have included those in the manufacturing, wholesale, distributing, and service sectors.

Prior to founding Hansen Audit Services, Peg spent several years as a relationship manager and collateral auditor with Manchester Commercial Finance (subsequently Crestmark Commercial Finance), in Minneapolis, MN. Manchester provided working capital loans to small and mid-sized companies, with a portfolio based primarily in the greater Twin Cities. Manchester's strength was it's ability to provide funding to businesses with needs that were outside traditional banking parameters.

Peg came to Manchester after many successful years with U.S. Bank Business Credit Business Finance division in Minneapolis, MN. At U.S. Bank Peg was responsible for conducting independent collateral audits of complex credits as a member of the Collateral Evaluation Group. The CEG provided collateral audit services to many of U.S. Bank's lending divisions, ranging from large national accounts to complicated work-out loans. In her capacity with CEG, she provided detailed analysis of collateral audit data and composed credit recommendations based on findings from the on-site collateral audits. Her experience at U.S. Bank also included underwriting commercial credits. In this capacity, Peg performed analysis of financial performance and cash flows, as well as financial forecasting.

A graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, Peg earned a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Her undergraduate education at the University of St. Thomas also included a semester abroad at the Universite de la Sorbonne in Paris, France. While at U.S. Bank, Peg entered the MBA Program at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN and earned a Certificate of Achievement in Accounting. In addition, Peg has completed several training courses, including Commercial Finance Association (CFA) Field Examiner school and Risk Management Association (RMA) Cash Flow Analysis.

Peg is a sustaining member of The Junior League of Saint Paul, a non-profit women's organization promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Peg has volunteered in many positions for JLSP, including serving on its Board of Directors (www.jlsp.org). She is also active in many of the organizations at the schools where her children attend. Other interests include running local 5Ks and attending charity events. Peg lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband and three children.
